About Us
Bristol Tutors has been founded upon the principals of excellence and friendliness; and we aim to be the most affordable tuition agency in the area. Our vision is to enable every child and adult to fulfill their potential.
All of our tutors have been through a fourfold quality check comprising of an enhanced CRB check, proof of qualifications, professional references and an extensive interview. Our interview process is aimed at ensuring excellent lesson planning skills and teaching ability. A personal interview of this depth is currently not required by most other tuition agencies.
The University of Bristol assists with most of our recruitment. It is nationally esteemed for producing excellent teachers through the postgraduate education department. Furthermore, the government-funded Widening Participation Department has been responsible for training many of our tutors.
Our tutors are comprised of a mix of teachers, postgraduates and undergraduates who have significant teaching experience through programmes such as the Widening Participation Scheme. The vast majority therefore are, or have been, working in Bristol schools carrying out one-to-one tuition. They therefore have excellent relationships with teachers and schools throughout Bristol.
All of them have been carefully selected for their tutoring abilities and expertise in their subject field.
